doesn’t arrive with the prognosis.” She proved beyond
all doubt to be true to
her word and with her uncompromising drive, unwavering determination
and

One of the events Jane channeled her remaining energies into was The Leeds 10k ‘Run For All.’ The first event was held in June of this year and was a fantastic success attracting 8,000 participants, which is truly remarkable for a new event of this type. Caring For Life
Caring For Life is a registered Christian charity which seeks to help homeless, disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the Leeds area. Celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, the Trust recognised from “square one” that helping a homeless person involves much more than locating suitable housing.
In order to meet the needs of those who have often been rejected or abused from early childhood, Caring For Life provides two supported homes for the 12 most vulnerable people in their care, a team to work in the community for those needing housing but able to live in independent accommodation with ongoing support, and also a wide range of therapeutic daytime activity projects on a farm in Cookridge, Leeds. Providing a comprehensive umbrella of support has already enabled three thousand people to begin life all over again, with a real sense of dignity and a safe “family” to belong to.
