B.E. Bosom Friends
B.E. Bosom Friends are a regional charity group that support and assist local people whose lives are affected by cancer. The main aim of the group is to simply "be there" when they are needed. The group believes that laughter is often the best form of medicine and, because it isn't available on the NHS, they have it on tap! They are always organising fun and enjoyable community events, hold regular meetings and are only a telephone call away if you need to talk. www.bebosomfriends.org.uk

Barnoldswick Local Charity Support Group
Barnoldswick Local Charity Support began as a group of people who met socially and who had ideas about how to raise money to help people in the local community. It is a registered charity and hold monthly progress meetings, although it continue sto meet socially with the aim of raising funds by holding events such as the Annual Race and Cabaret Night and the Annual Darts Marathon, along with other events throughout the year.
Its main objective is to be able to support the local community and so it is vital to us that should we be approached by someone who needs our help locally we are able to assist in some way.
In the past the charity has made donations to larger charities such as Guide Dogs For The Blind and we hope that in the future we will have the funds available to support other larger charities too.

Action for Children
Action for Children helps 156,000 of the UK's most vulnerable children, young people and their families each year through 420 projects across the UK. We aim to enable children and young people to achieve their full potential through a wide range of innovative services as well as by campaigning for policy change.
Throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region we currently run 34 projects, offering a wide range of services from family support, fostering, support for care leavers, young carers services, and many more. In addition to our regional projects we have just launched a nationwide campaign to tackle neglect throughout the UK. Neglect is a complex issue that demands long -term solutions and with the money we raise through the Neglect appeal we aim to tackle the key causes and ensure all children are loved and cared for. We intend to be there for children and families affected by neglect for as long as it takes.
