Paul Theakston - Chairman, Black Sheep Brewery

Paul has beer running in his veins; four generations of his antecedents and now two sons share his lifetime in the brewing industry. Born and bred in Masham, where the Theakston family have existed as peasants, farmers or brewers for a least six centuries, it should be no surprise that after the takeover of Theakston’s Brewery by a national brewer, Paul left to re-establish independent brewing in Masham in the form of Black Sheep Brewery. He is a Freeman of the City of London, and Liveryman and Court Assistant of the Brewers' Company.
