John Charles CBE - Special Award 2001

Arguably one of Leeds United’s greatest players, the giant Welshman is still revered in his adopted home of Leeds… and in Italy where he played for Juventus, despite having retired over 35 years ago!

In the same year as he received his CBE in the Queen’s Birthday honours list, John receives his ‘Special’ Award for contributing something truly outstanding in his lifetime.
