Richard Whiteley DL - Yorkshire Man of the Year 2003

Richard Whiteley has this year celebrated his thirty fifth year with Yorkshire television and on November 2nd will celerate 21years of presenting Countdown, the YTV programme which was the first broadcast on Channel Four in l982. Richard was honoured to be appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of the County of West Yorkshire in the summer of this year.

He is a founder patron of the Yorkshire Society and his volume of memoirs "Himoff" is still available in the shops.
