Spice Holdings plc - Yorkshire Employment Creation 2004

With Freedom Maintenance acting as its foundation, the business has grown into Spice Holdings plc - a holding company for water, electricity and telecoms operations which provide support services, predominantly in the utilities.

In the last year or two, Spice has extended its range, winning contracts for radio ground handling at various airports and the company now boasts BA, as one of the many household names on its blue chip customer list. The company now employs over 1700 people.

Spice is a thriving, vibrant support services business and a major success story to date. It is a Yorkshire business through and through, which has achieved success by applying basic Yorkshire principles – openness, honesty and hard work.
