Inderpal Randhawa - Yorkshire Unsung Hero 2006

He is a part time bus driver for First Bus and he also owns Linthwaite Mini Market. Since arriving in Huddersfield in the early 1980s Inderpal Singh Randhawa has worked tirelessly for the Sikh Community. His extensive list of roles over the years include president of Guru Nanak Sikh Temple, Member of both the Indian Workers Association and Kirklees Racial Equality Council and Vice President of the Towns Interfaith Council. Interpal is currently president of of the Sikh Leisure Centre in Spring wood and has been praised for his commitment there. Last year he represented the Sikh community at a lunch with the Queen in Wakefield.
